What is Animal Chiropractic Care?

Animal chiropractic is a gentle, hands-on, natural approach to your animal's health that focuses on the relationship between the spine, nervous system, and overall well-being.

The discipline was formally recognized in the 1980s through the pioneering efforts of Dr. Sharon Willoughby, who was both a veterinarian and a chiropractor. It involves gentle adjustments to restore normal spinal and joint movement, relieve pain, facilitate recovery from injury, and improve an animal’s quality of life.

Regular chiropractic care for animals, as with people, helps in the prevention and management of many neuro-musculoskeletal issues.

Important: Chiropractic is not intended to replace traditional veterinary care. It should be used in conjunction with appropriate veterinary treatment to improve your animal’s overall health and wellness.

Dr. Batch is a graduate of the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre. Canadian Chiropractic Magazine highlights animal chiropractic and the certification program offered by the Veterinary Chiropractor Learning Centre in Brantford Ontario in this short video.
