Custom Foot Orthotics

Biomechanical imbalances of the bones and joints of the feet can result in increased joint stresses and abnormal motion of the feet. These imbalances may cause pain and impair foot mobility, and can also result in compensation leading to ankle, knee, hip or back pain.

Custom foot orthotics restore biomechanical balance to the bones and joints of the feet helping to lessen joint stresses, improve mobility of the feet, and may help to reduce pain in the ankles, knees, hips and back.

Common conditions that may benefit from custom foot orthotics include:

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Heel pain
  • Foot or knee arthritis
  • Morton's neuroma
  • Shin splints
  • Achilles tendonitis
  • Metatarsalgia
  • Bunions
  • Knee conditions i.e. Patellofemoral syndrome/Chondromalacia patella

Custom foot orthotics may also help people who stand or walk on hard surfaces for long periods of time each day; who participate regularly in sports and athletics (especially runners); have had previous foot or leg injuries; or experience joint pain when walking, running, or standing.
